Statement

My Name is Jack Anglesea. I enjoy Graphic Design and using Photoshop, I love the limitless amounts of creativity and Imagination it offers in designing.


I would like a placement to study Graphic Design as I feel it will greatly help me improve and better my skills, gain me the experience and qualifications I need to become a Graphic Designer and to eventually go on to start my own Graphic Design company.


In 2009, I began to study GCSE Graphic Design and Art and continued with Product design at A-Level; since I was small I've always liked drawing and at GCSE discovered the enjoyment of Sketching and Drawing in a different range of styles from creating perspective drawings to the drawing styles and architectural design of Antoni Gaudi in both subjects.


In the same year I began my course, I started My Own YouTube Channel, and then re-started an new channel in 2011, where I upload the projects I create in Photoshop; such as Desktop backgrounds, YouTube Backgrounds, Icons and Xbox Dashboard Themes for people to download, gaining me currently over 2,100 subscribers and 224, 652 video views between two channels and just over 10,500 total downloads on all my completed projects I have uploaded in the past 3 years.


The work I have submitted shows the range of the programs I can use; Adobe Photoshop, Cinema 4D and Google Sketch Up but also how I use the inspiration I collect to generate my ideas for my A-Level Work in the form of the Transportation Hub, Various Sketch Designs and MP3 Docking Station in Product Design. I feel the ICT work I have submitted shows the professionalism in my work. My A-Level Product Design and ICT work prove that I can work to deadlines and under design briefs, and the various Photoshop pieces displays the creativity I can produce.

14. AS-Project ICT Advert for Fictional Company

Advert I designed For my Fictional Company 'Republic Sports' for my AS-Level ICT Project, Featuring the Song 'Your Song' By Ellie Goulding. Although I did not film this video clip, I believe this shows a good example of the editing I can do. 

13. CAD AS Product Design Bus Stop Design

Designed For My AS-Level Product Design Project, This is a further Development and a way of advertising my 80's Boom Box which I Designed on image 8 in this blog and below. The Interactive iPhone in the Bus Stop allows the user to select music to play whilst waiting for the Bus.

6. AS Level Tech Project

These are the designs I used for my AS Level Product Design Project. The design comes from the inspiration of a 80’s themed ‘boom box’ with multi functions of extra storage space for CD’s and a lamp. Designed in Google Sketch Up and initial designs done in my project sketch book.

4. 'Storm in New York' Desktop Background

Made for my YouTube Channel ‘ShadowRamboDesigns’ in a ‘Speed Art’ Video I created, I named this image ‘Storm in New York’. From this image I’m was trying to create the impression of what New York could look like under attack from a mysterious force. Designed in Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Made for my YouTube Channel ‘ShadowRamboDesigns’ in a ‘Speed Art’ Video I created, I named this image ‘Paradise’. I feel it Emphasising the beauty and colour of space and all of it’s mystery, hidden above the clouds of our Earth. Designed in Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Avatar/Display Picture Set Designed for use on YouTube for the ‘aZum’ Team. The Users required a set of matching Avatars each for their YouTube Channels. Inspiration taken from the ‘Florida Panthers’ Hockey Team Logo. Designed in Adobe Photoshop CS5.
